Meet Audrey one of 3 in existence 876 Auburn Boattail Speedsters
Built by the Auburn Motor Company of Melbourne Australia.

This is a rare piece of Australian SpeedstersHistory, rescued from a static museum piece and lovingly restored with detail to maintain originality.

The body is an exact copy of the 1935 Auburn 852, as owned by Clark Gable. The original vehicles command prices of $5,000,000.

The chassis is a Ford Galaxie 1966 purchased from the Australian Ford Motoring Company, which has been extended to fit the body.

The mechanicals are all Ford, a Cleveland 351 V8 engine coupled to a FMX Automatic gearbox and a 9-inch Ford Differential.

Audrey was recommissioned back in 2022 and has now covered 47,000 kms. She will be on show at the Shannons Day 17th August at Eastern Creek, for public viewing.

When out driving Audrey she is the focus of attention, its refreshing when people stop and ask permission to photograph her.

This outstanding vehicle which certainly is a real head turner and the best example of the Australian built Auburns.

She is exhilarating to drive, artwork on wheels and then there is the unforgettable V8. A Truely audible experience hearing the rumble as Audrey roars into live, bring a flood of memories and a knowing smile, its tempting to just keep driving.
